The MP40 is built as a 40-tonne basic machine and, depending on which attachment is used, can be used as a screw, drilling and pile-driving machine. When developing this machine, Van den Heuvel went further than just the drawing board.
In order to meet all the wishes and requirements from the market as well as possible, Van den Heuvel involved both customers and mechanics in the process. As a result, the machine is optimally designed for all parties involved. The MP40 is more compact than its ‘big brothers’, the MP60 and MP70. The machine can be transported including the drill box and drill, making it ideal for working on several smaller projects per day.
The modular machine serves as a solid base and is fully flexible to prepare and automate according to the customer’s wishes. For example, it is possible to vary within the standard components in the field of engine power, pump, leader and ballast. As a result, the machine is ideally suited to specific activities within the industry.
Technical specifications
The machine is built from A-class components and is conventionally wired for maximum reliability in the field. The central control system is based on a robust PLC configuration with intuitive user operation. The conventional construction makes maintenance easy to perform, with minimal dependence on complex software interfaces.
The pile driver is equipped with guide systems for the drop hammer, including top winches and an associated winch control system. The MP40 delivers high pulling force via the main and auxiliary winches, suitable for lifting heavy pile drivers and positioning foundation elements.
Ergonomics and safety
The operator cabin is designed according to OSHA guidelines and offers excellent ergonomics and visibility. The cabin is equipped with an air-suspended seat with adjustable lumbar supports, freely adjustable control consoles and a clear display system. Large, straight windows all around offer unobstructed visibility of the work area, without optical distortion. Both inside and outside, powerful LED lighting is provided for optimum visibility under all circumstances.
