Flexibility and versatility

The PD Piling Rig easily converts a crane into a foundation machine. In Van den Heuvel’s workshop, the crane is equipped with a special leader that is mounted on the boom. Thanks to the innovative leader suspension, both a tube leader and a lattice leader can be used, creating maximum flexibility in deployment.

Special sliding table

An important part of the PD Piling Rig is the sliding table. Depending on the project, you can opt for a central telescopic sliding table or a version with two guide rails on the side of the machine. This makes the machine suitable for a wide range of foundation jobs and increases accuracy when positioning.

Extra functions and safety

In addition to the leader and sliding table, the crane is equipped with extra hydraulic functions, operating options and, if desired, extra winches. A capacity calculation is always performed to ensure the stability and safety of the machine. If necessary, extra ballast is added to guarantee optimum balance.

The PD Piling Rig offers a long working range and can work both forwards and backwards in inclined position 4:1, depending on the length of the leader. With the PDX Pile Driving Machine, a standard crane is easily converted into a foundation machine. In Van den Heuvel’s workshop, the machine is equipped with a special leader suspension, suitable for both tubular and lattice leaders. In addition, a sliding table with two guide beams is mounted on the side of the crane. This offers maximum accuracy and flexibility during foundation work.

Extra functions and configuration

In addition to the basic equipment, the PDX Pile Driving Machine is expanded with extra hydraulic functions, operating options and possibly additional winches. If necessary, extra ballast can be added, or replaced by a power pack frame. It is also possible to place a power pack frame on top of the counterweight. This makes the machine fully configurable to the requirements of the project.

Large batter piles

The PDX Pile Driving Machine distinguishes itself by the possibility of larger batter piles than the PD variant. By mounting cylinders on the boom that support the rear of the machine, the sliding table is optimally utilized. With the help of outriggers at the rear, the boom can even move through the dead center, making maximum batter piles up to 3:1 achievable both forwards and backwards.

The XLR Piling Rig distinguishes itself through its robust construction and high impact force. Thanks to the fixed long leader, the heavy suspension point, and the stable base, this machine is stronger and more multifunctional than PD and PDX piling rigs. The XLR delivers sufficient capacity to effortlessly pull tubes out of the ground, making it the ideal solution for the most demanding foundation projects.

Designed for heavy work

The machine is built on the basis of a standard crane from a top brand, which is completely converted into an XLR piling rig in the VDH workshop. By removing the boom and permanently mounting the leader, the machine is exclusively focused on foundation work and drilling applications. This makes the XLR Piling Rig suitable for precast piles, vibro piles, MV piles, and vibration-free drilled pile systems.

Stability and batter piles

One of the biggest advantages of the XLR Piling Rig is its enormous stability, both plumb and in batter. Forward and backward batter piles up to 3:1 are possible as standard. With a special version, the machine can even work backward in a 1:1 batter. Sideways batter piles are also easily achieved, making the machine widely applicable in challenging construction projects.
