In collaboration with <a href=\"https:\/\/www.sdkengineering.nl\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\"><strong>SDK Engineering<\/strong> <\/a>, we converted the Woltman 5021 foundation machine from a diesel engine to a fully electric drive, equipped with the advanced CHD400e unit.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\"><strong>From diesel to electric: a sustainable transformation<\/strong><\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p>During the project, the existing diesel engine of the foundation machine was replaced by an electric motor and battery pack. SDK Engineering designed and built the electrical system, including:<br\/>\u2022 A 267 kWh battery pack with expansion to 600 kWh<br\/>\u2022 High-voltage cabling and cooling motors<br\/>\u2022 Electrical components and chargers<br\/>\u2022 An advanced battery management system<br\/>\u2022 Specific software for the control <\/p>\n\n\n\n<figure class=\"wp-block-gallery has-nested-images class=\"wp-block-heading\"><strong>Test phase and results<\/strong><\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p>After installation, the machine was subjected to extensive tests and inspections. All systems were optimized and the software was fully adapted to real-world conditions. The Woltman 5021 now functions as desired in <strong>either electric or plug-in hybrid mode<\/strong>.
