We recently built an RDC-17 compaction kit. The customer provided a Caterpillar 390 excavator for this project, after which we built the compaction kit. The RDC-17 compaction kit is a specially developed attachment designed to perform soil compaction work. The kit consists of a compaction hammer and foot, hammer slide, mono boom, hydraulic components and additional ballast weight.
Together with the excavator, these components form a compaction machine. The compaction machine is used to improve the bearing capacity of the surface, creating a stable foundation for foundations, roads, and other infrastructure projects. Read here to learn more about our compaction machines.
